Return & Refund Policy

At ThermoTech, we want you to be satisfied with your purchase. This policy applies to all ThermoTech hot water heaters purchased through our website.

1. Returns

Returns are accepted where required under South African consumer law or where ThermoTech's voluntary return policy applies.

2. Defective Products

Under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA), qualifying goods have an implied warranty of quality for 6 months from delivery.

3. Repair, Replacement or Refund

Where a qualifying product is defective, customers may be entitled to a repair, replacement or refund, as provided for by the CPA.

4. Online Purchases

Certain online purchases may qualify for a statutory cooling-off period under the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (ECTA).

5. Change of Mind

For voluntary change-of-mind returns, the product must generally be unused, uninstalled, undamaged and complete, including accessories and packaging where reasonably possible.

6. Installation

Customers are responsible for ensuring that the heater is installed correctly and in accordance with the supplied instructions and applicable safety requirements.

7. Damage or Misuse

Returns or additional warranty claims may not cover damage caused by incorrect installation, misuse, negligence, unauthorised repairs, electrical surges, lightning, incorrect voltage or failure to follow instructions.

8. Inspection

ThermoTech may inspect or test a returned heater to determine the cause of a reported fault.

9. Return Costs

Where ThermoTech is responsible for a defective or incorrect product, reasonable return or collection costs will be handled in accordance with applicable law.

10. Refunds

Where a refund is legally required, ThermoTech will process it using the applicable payment method, subject to the requirements of South African law and the relevant payment provider.

11. Your Legal Rights

Nothing in this policy removes or limits any rights provided to consumers under South African law. If any part of this policy conflicts with mandatory law, the applicable law will prevail.
